Here at Above The Fold, we know that “raising” a successful software product takes a village. No one person or discipline can produce the best solution in a silo; it takes collaboration across all teams within an organization. That’s why we’re excited to be speaking and sponsoring the second annual Northeast PHP Conference (@NEPHP) this August 16 – 18.
Don’t be fooled by the name – it’s not all PHP all the time. The three-day conference features workshops & talks in three major categories: PHP development, web technologies and user experience.
Conferences this comprehensive are rare; typically designers and developers are divided and expected to conquer, whereas NEPHP promotes coming together to build. This collaborative spirit is what has us excited about NEPHP – both to attend and especially to be leading some of those conversations in web technologies and user experience.
Here’s a small sampling of what’s in store:
- UI Patterns: A Practical Toolkit with Jim O’Neill
- Workshop: Usability Testing for the Common Man with Heather O’Neill
- Teaching PHP & Web Development with Larry Ullman
- Workshop: Preparing for Zend 5.3 Certification with Peter MacIntyre
With keynotes from self-starting PHP guru Eli White, and Wikipedia’s PHP Terrorist Terry Chay, NortheastPHP offers a diverse array of experiences with something for everyone.
We hope to see you at the conference (be sure to stop by our table and say ‘hello!’) so get your tickets, before they sell out. Don’t miss this opportunity to come together and learn new skills to add to your village. You’ll be glad you did.
